Claire is EME's Portfolio Growth Advisor. In this role, Claire works closely with our founders to support them and create unique growth plans for each portfolio company, allowing them to scale to new heights. This support includes pricing strategy, industry partnerships, business development plans, product and service offering improvement, internal training, capacity building, branding, marketing, content strategies and any other counsel required by the teams.
Claire has amassed 10 years of experience in marketing and business development across the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining EME, Claire served as a Regional Director for Ogilvy and Mather where she was responsible for the growth of the Ogilvy business across 8 key markets including Singapore, Manila, Tokyo, KL, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Yangon.
On the client servicing side, Claire has developed marketing strategies to support Fortune 100 companies across a multitude of industries including Microsoft, Visa, ExxonMobil, Johnson & Johnson, Coca-Cola, the Bacardi group, Walmart Stores, McDonald’s, Amazon, HSBC, Allianz and Nestle to name a few.
Claire’s expertise in marketing and comprehensive understanding of growing businesses ensures that our portfolio companies receive effective 360-degree growth support across all channels– an enormous advantage in today’s fast-paced and multidimensional world of modern marketing.
Claire holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Communication from the University of the Philippines, specializing in PR and Advertising. She also took intensive Chinese language courses from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and certificate courses in Behavioural Economics and Entrepreneurship for Emerging Economies from Harvard University's online distance learning programme. She has served as a mentor for The Singapore Centre for Social Enterprise (raiSE) and NUS Business School's Asia Centre for Social Entrepreneurship & Philanthropy (ACSEP).
