Hla Win Nwe has a background in accounting and finance. She brings experience in auditing, financial reporting, financial analysis, and financial due-diligence to EME. Before joining the EME, Hla worked at a Myanmar-based advisory firm as a financial analyst, where she focussed on company valuation and financial due diligence for existing and prospective venture deals across a range of sectors.
Previously, Hla worked within auditing and accounting and has direct experience undertaking financial analysis and assessment for companies across a broad range of sectors, including: manufacturing, construction, trading platforms, food and beverage, tourism, and advertising. Within her auditing positions, Hla also led the preparation of financial reports and carried out internal audit procedures.
Hla is interested in agriculture sectors and service sectors: she believes that promoting the agriculture business could help support farmers and low-income populations across the country and that there is a lot of room for improvement in the sector; and believes that service companies that manage to generate strong revenues without large capital expenditures can position themselves well for innovative pivots into scalable models.
Hla holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the Yangon University of Economics (YUOE). She also joined the Master of Banking and Finance Program in YUEO. She is also studying the ACCA. While at YUOE, Hla represented the university in international rowing competitions! Hla is a Myanmar Citizen.
