May Phoo Maung Maung (Nikkie) supports EME's portfolio companies with tailored research and analysis. She is an alumnus from the Parami Leadership Program of the Parami Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Before joining the Parami, Nikkie focused on her Diploma in Business Administration at STI Myanmar University and her project “The Marketing Strategies for Giordano Myanmar”, which was selected as the best project of the academic period.
During the Parami Leadership Program, she conducted the research “Financial Inclusion and the Poverty Eradication in Myanmar” a comprehensive mixed methods study assessing the risks and benefits of small loans. After completing her research in Parami, she submitted her research paper to the Emerging Yong Researchers Initiative Program of ISP Myanmar where her paper was selected as the Best Research Paper and will be published in Myanmar Quarterly Journal.
Nikkie has a strong passion to reduce poverty of Myanmar and she believes agriculture and technology, and particular the combination of the two, plays essential roles in creating value across the economy.
